My fridge door will not close properly

A door that doesn’t close properly might not sound that drastic, but this can cause lots of the common problems listed in this section. The most obvious reason the door won’t shut is because the fridge has been overfilled and all those boxes of fish fingers are stopping the door from closing.

If the door is closed but you are still experiencing problems, next check the door itself. Inspect the door hinges to see if they are damaged or broken, and check that the door is hanging level. If the door is physically intact, it could be the seal around the door. Check this for obvious signs of damage or wear.

All of the above require a simple repair, so pick up the phone and call for a hero.
