The light inside my fridge does not work.

Are you sure the fridge has power? See our My fridge is not cold enough / not cold at all page above.

If it is working normally but the light doesn’t come on when the door is open, the most likely
answer is that the bulb has blown. This can easily be replaced yourself; they can be bought
from lots of places. If you don’t know what type you need, take your make and model number
with you (see our How do I find my make and model number pages) and ask the staff for
assistance. Or take the blown bulb with you, and buy one of the same type. If you don’t fancy
doing this yourself, call the Hero Hotline and we will be delighted to help you- we can obtain
replacement bulbs for you.

If the bulb is fine, it could be a fault with the microswitch that tells the bulb when the door is
open. This can be replaced- time to call for a hero.

Does the light stay on inside my fridge when the door is closed?
No, no it doesn’t. If you don’t believe us, why not try climbing inside and find out for yourself?!
